Galley and Reserve Toilet

The cook is a very important man on every ship, but on a submarine he is also an artist. The reserve toilet held supplies - so it was unusable for the first part of the voyage.

Non-commissioned officer's sleep and living room

The U-room accommodated non-commissioned officers (Petty officer first and second class). Two men shared one bunk - one was on watch, the other stayed in here. The room below was the battery compartment.

Forward Control Room

In the "brain of the boat", the command and control equipment are concentrated: Chart table, rudder and hydroplane, aerial target and attack periscope. Here are the tower entrance and exit for the watch, smokers and those in need of fresh air.
